• Is responsible for tracking how anti-misconduct frameworks operate within the organization and for taking corrective or improvement actions.

• Holds authority to guide and verify compliance with regulations and rules in business execution.
• Is responsible for ensuring compliance and for early detection and reporting of violations or risks in business execution.

1. Clarifying the responsibility system

We designate the following officers for the operation and management of competitive research funds.

The Chief Management Officer takes the following actions to establish the foundation for appropriate operation and management.

• Compliance education and awareness activities (raising the awareness of all parties and ensuring it takes root)
• Clarifying and unifying the rules
• Clarifying the scope of authority for each role
• Establishing and transparently operating regulations on whistleblowing, investigations, and disciplinary actions

By understanding the factors that cause misconduct and planning / implementing concrete anti-misconduct measures, we encourage voluntary action by all parties and prevent misconduct from occurring.

4. Appropriate operation and management of research funds

We execute budgets appropriately in light of the anti-misconduct plan. Documents and data related to fund execution are retained for the defined period so that they can be verified later.

5. Promoting information sharing and disclosure

We establish a contact point for inquiries on rules for using competitive research funds inside and outside the company. We also disclose the Basic Policy on Anti-Misconduct Measures.
