About MeTA-Mirai 2026

MeTA-Mirai 2026 is a one-day conference that puts Nagano Prefecture's Shinshu IT Valley vision into practice, pairing technology with the potential of the region. Its theme is "Beyond a world where AI is the operating system, what future will we draw, and how will we grow our communities?"

"Meta" (めた) is a Nagano dialect word meaning "more," "on and on," "amazing," and "beyond." Under the concept of learning more, connecting more, and living more abundantly, people from inside and outside the prefecture gather to think about Shinshu's future and carry it into practice. The program treats AI and technology as part of creative work, robotics, forestry, and making—tied to Nagano's places and industries.
